Who is Who in Art with Director Zona/Gallery Talk: Unraveling the Mysteries of Abstract Art (Youngstown)

Abstraction in visual art indicates a departure from accurate representation; this departure can be partial, or it can be complete. Total abstraction bears no trace of any reference to anything recognizable. From Wassily Kandinsky and Gerhard Richter, to Piet Mondrian and Helen Frankenthaler, this presentation presents the continuum and evolution of international abstract art over the last century. This program is open to the public. Seating is limited, and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Donations will be applied to the Butler Go-Green initiative, and will assist with the purchase of new, energy efficient LED gallery lighting.
