Kim NovaK EXTENDED: Pastel Paintings (Giffuni Gallery, Youngstown)

This exhibition of works in pastel and watercolor are by an Oregon artist whose name is synonymous with classic Hollywood film. After retiring from the movie industry, Novak has devoted a great deal of time to creating works of art inspired by spirituality and nature. Portraits, interiors and landscapes are included in this show of 27 works. Visit to learn more about the artist and her giclee prints.

Open House: Holiday Event

Visit the Butler Sunday, December 14 during regular hours and enjoy a seasonal celebration. Complimentary cookies and cocoa will be served from 12 noon to 4 pm in the museum cafe (operated by AVI FOODSYSTEMS). At 2 pm, tour the Butler collection galleries with Director Louis Zona. See the beautiful Butler Institute decorated for the holidays, and enjoy a discount on most items on sale in the Museum Gift Shop and Fine Art Sales Gallery. Receive a reproduction of the masterwork by Norman Rockwell, Lincoln the Railsplitter (suitable for framing), yours free just for visiting the museum December 14. Admission and parking are also free.

Great American Art Auction RESERVATIONS CLOSED: Fine Art and More! (Youngstown)

Join us at the Butler in Youngstown for a very special event, featuring the sale of unique and original works of art in all media. Reservations are limited and are $55 for Butler members and $65 for non members. The Great American Art Auction will be conducted by Jeff Byce of Byce Auction and Realty, Youngstown. Event proceeds will benefit the Butlerʼs permanent collection fund which enables the museum to restore and conserve historic paintings, to conduct research, and update and maintain Butler archives.
